The Angell House, located in the Willard Square area of South Portland, sits just a quarter of a mile from Willard Beach, a sandy beach cove buffeted by the trademark rocky crags and cliffs of the North Atlantic coastline, and three miles from Portland and the historic Old Port District. Willard Square, a quaint residential neighborhood of hip-roofed houses and eclectic bungalows, boasts beautifully restored homes predominately built in the early twentieth century, along with much older historic landmark homes, and cozy beach cottages dotted along rambling streets that run to the beach. Affectionately termed SoPo, this area of South Portland has become one of the most desirable neighborhoods to live, visit, and play in the greater Portland area. The Angell House is an American four square built in the late 19th century featuring a large open floor plan on the first floor.
