A recently renovated two-story home nestled in a redwood grove is the perfect setting for enjoying family and friends. Just a few blocks to the center of Carmel-by-the Sea for fine dining and shopping. Enjoy your morning coffee and a short walk to the white-sand beach for the sunsets.
The 4-bedroom, 3-bath home is like two residences in one, with upper and lower levels both offering kitchens, full baths and living areas. Each level has its own dedicated entrance as well, making this ideal for two families or several couples to share.
It’s conveniently located close to Monterey Peninsula attractions, and is just 10 minutes away by car from shopping, fine dining and world-class golf courses in Pebble Beach®. It’s also only a 10-minute drive to Monarch butterfly sightings in Pacific Grove, or to the Monterey Bay Aquarium and Cannery Row. It’s just a half hour’s drive to the natural wonders of Big Sur and wine tasting and dining in Carmel Valley Village.
Upper Level Living Space
The 1,900-square-foot home lives up to its name, Poseidon, with ocean-themed décor with a midcentury modern flair throughout. A wraparound deck around the upper story offers treetop views in a quiet neighborhood, and inside, large windows let in plenty of natural light and beautiful views. Hardwood floors and beautiful decorated interiors in tones of blue, sand and aqua are soothing and relaxing.
On the upper level, guests enter into the living room, dominated by a stacked stone fireplace and hearth surrounding a wood-burning fireplace with insert. A sectional sofa with chaise is a great gathering place to enjoy conversation, watch the 46-inch HDTV or read a good book. A bistro set on the deck offers an additional seating area.
Kitchen and Dining
The dining room adjacent to the living room has seating for 8 around a wooden table next to a bay window.
Beyond the dining room is a large, fully-equipped kitchen with white cabinetry and stainless steel appliances, including a six-burner Thor gas range and a stainless apron sink with pull-down faucet. Well-equipped for extended stays!
Upstairs Bedrooms and Bathrooms
On the upper level Bedroom #1 is a large suite with a California king bed, a seating area with upholstered chairs and a desk, and access to a full bathroom that can also be entered from the hallway. This bathroom features custom tile, a tub-shower combination with large showerhead and dual sinks and mirrors.
Bedroom #2 has a queen bed, and an en suite bathroom with custom tiled shower and large closets.
Lower Level Living Space
On the lower level, the entryway leads to a living room with an electric fireplace, minimalist modern décor and the same blue, sand and aqua color scheme as the upper level.
Lower Level Kitchen
The kitchen includes a small refrigerator, electric range with smooth cooktop, pendant lights and counter seating for four.
Lower Level Bedrooms and Bathroom
Bedroom #3 and Bedroom #4 each have a queen bed.
In the family room on this level there is a twin day bed with a twin trundle that can sleep 1-2 children.
The lower level full bathroom has a custom-tiled shower.
A washer and dryer are behind bi-fold doors in the family room.
Parking for 3 cars is available in the driveway with additional parking on the street.
Well-behaved small, quiet dogs are welcome with pre-approval, an additional pet fee and a signed pet addendum.
