Rotorua's headline attractions are an easy drive away: the Redwoods Forest at around 35 minutes, then Te Puia's geysers and the lakefront hot pools at Polynesian Spa and Wai Ariki Spa about 40 minutes on, with Skyline's gondola and luge, Canopy Tours and Zorb a little further west again.
Getting Around:
You'll want your own vehicle here - public transport doesn't reach this part of the lakes. It's a scenic 25-minute run to Rotorua Airport along State Highway 30, and around 35-40 minutes into central Rotorua and its attractions. There's heaps of parking at the property for cars, boats and trailers.
