Our homestead is an accessible framework of regenerative agriculture meeting the urban landscape. The landscape has been (and is being) planted into a future food forest so the property is encompassed by hundreds of fruit trees and edible plants. The basement apartment holds our little family --Soraya, Matthew, Hoku, and our first baby on the way!
The kitchen is equipped with dishes and cooking equipment to accompany all of your cooking needs, allowing you to feel at home from the moment you arrive. We provide all of your basic amenities, so kick back and enjoy a fresh cup of coffee (or tea) while you bask in all the natural light this home has to offer.
The living room of dreams! Offering all the modern amenities including a 65' Smart Art Frame TV perfect for your big game or new binge-worthy television show. The smart TV comes set-up with our accounts for Netflix, HBO and Youtube TV. Hate TV? Discover beautiful art selections, and choose on your favorite piece to fill the setting. The Samsung sound-bar easily connects through bluetooth to play your favorite tunes. The fire place will be set with wood, ready to set the mood--you only need to open the flue and light!
A beautiful Dining Room furnished with an easy-to-use record player, and a ton of vinyls at your disposal to explore. Balderdash, Catan, cards and numerous other games, puzzles for your enjoyment. A wooden, handmade Backgammon, Chess, and Mancala board may be detached and/or lowered, allowing you to play by the fire.
The Sunroom is a perfect place to do some work-from-home with our high-speed fiber internet, eat breakfast, or consider discovering a book to explore. All of the outdoor furniture on the deck is for your enjoyment, and offers you another great place to work. The large outdoor umbrella comes in good use.
Three bedrooms furnished with two king beds & a queen bed, and each bedroom comes equipped with an overhead fan. The primary bedroom ensuite is furnished with a king, and offers a walk-in closet, and two dressers for your belongings.
Having spent over 10 years in Atlanta's hospitality industry, a list of recommendations and places to visit is always accommodated upon request.
GPS should seamlessly direct you to our location. Upon arrival you may Self check-in through opening the garage and/or enter through the front door with the codes provided to you. Welcome, you have arrived!
With our food forest planted around the property and our very friendly all-black outdoor cats, you may feel called to explore--We encourage your exploration of our front and backyards, and our planted landscape. Please save your touching for the cats! And keep the cats out of the house at all times (do not leave doors open!). Please feel free to inquire regarding a property tour if you feel inclined.
Please do not enter our barn or storage shed, or pick, harvest, disturb any plants or outside materials without our permission. If you prefer to be greeted upon arrival, this may be arranged for your convenience.
We live at the property and work often from home in the basement apartment along with our friendly farm dog! Our dog will always be accompanied by us outside on a leash during your stay, so you will never have to worry. Please be aware she may briefly bark downstairs upon your arrival! You may see us outside caretaking the landscape during your stay.
We will not enter your private space (the paved driveway, the garage, the upstairs, or the back deck/front deck,) unless requested by you. You may see us outside tending the landscape, or see our cars parked on the separate gravel/ wood chip driveway—otherwise we are out of your way entirely! We hope you enjoy this sanctuary just outside of the city as much as we do!
