Beautifully secluded on 300 acres of tranquil countryside in spectacular Southern Vermont, this five-bedroom Jacksonville home allows you to truly get away from it all. Classic and comfortable, this home is equipped for every season, whether you're planning a relaxing summer vacation, an autumn leaf-peeping excursion, or a family ski getaway to the slopes of nearby Mount Snow Resort. The interior features such inviting, familiar touches as wood-paneled walls, large windows, and a wood-burning fireplace with a stone hearth that you can gather around each evening. Begin each morning with a hot cup of coffee in the sunroom overlooking the property, and flip pancakes in the kitchen before heading out for a day of skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, or kayaking. Spend summer days playing lawn games in the tree-lined meadow, pushing your kids on the swing that hangs from the tree, and watching the sunset from a seat on the deck or in the warmth of the outdoor firepit. There is an on-site pond for guests to use that has been recently stocked with Rainbow trout! So don't hesitate to throw your lines and try to catch some.
At night, you'll have your choice of five cozy bedrooms. The first floor features a queen bedroom with an attached bath, a second bedroom with a double bed, a third bedroom with two twin beds, and a fourth bedroom with a single twin. Mount Snow Resort, offering 20 lifts, 10 terrain parks, a super pipe, and four mountain faces, is 18 miles north, as is the Mount Snow Golf Course to enjoy all summer long. The Harriman Reservoir, where you can glimpse bald eagles and loons as you swim, kayak, or take out a stand-up paddleboard, is 10 miles northwest. You'll also be a quick, five-mile drive from a general store, a local winery, and a brewery, and 12 miles from a large grocery store.
