Summary: I rented this cabin for a solo writing retreat and it was perfect for that. It had the basic necessities and was affordable. A few suggestions if you're visiting: - Wi-Fi was very weak so I could not check the weather, stream music or tv, or check maps and directions. Texts were spotty. Also I couldn’t message the owner from the cabin. The owner might consider adding a wifi extender to strengthen the signal from the other property. - Nice TV but streaming is impossible. There was a DVD player, so bring DVDs, or download music/movies onto your laptop. - Recommend bringing paper towels, soap, salt/pepper or other kitchen necessities. There isn't much stocked in the kitchen. - Does come with a refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker and basic utensils. - Sheets and two towels are provided - Has AC and a space heater (that easily kept me warm during the chilly weather) - Very close to serpent mound - definitely plan a trip - The grounds are lovely with lots of spring wildflowers, wildlife and a bubbling creek - There is another rental very close to this one but I never heard them at all. It's very private and quiet. - There aren't really any restaurants or grocery stores nearby so plan accordingly. There is a Dollar General about 10 minutes away for last-minute things and snacks.
