The open floor plan accommodates up to 4 people and offers a king size bed in an alcove created by bunk beds that are built into the wall. If your group is more than four people ask us about other cabins that might be available. Inside the Red Rooster House you will also find a fully equipped kitchenette with a full size stove, oven, refrigerator, microwave, pots, pans, dishes, coffee maker and coffee/tea service. Central air/heat will ensure that you are comfortable no matter what the temperature is outside, and a wood burning fireplace will provide a cozy, romantic atmosphere in the cooler months. A television with a DVD player and a DVD library is provided although there is no television reception. The Lost Maples Region offers plenty of opportunity for bird watching with over 200 species being counted at nearby Lost Maples State Natural Area. The dark skies are perfect for star gazing and you'll experience firsthand why they say the stars at night are big and bright deep in the heart of Texas!
