Harvest House is centrally located in southeastern NH! Only 24 mins NorthWest to the big one-Lake Winnipesaukee, and the little village at it's southern tip- Alton Bay, then a bit further to Laconia, the Weirs, and Meredith with all the many activities of the Lakes region. We are only 36 mins to Wolfeboro, the oldest resort town in America, with it's active docks on Winnipesaukee, and it's colorful downtown shopping and popular village shops and restaurants. Don't forget to visit the famous 30 minutes further north to popular North Conway and it's many tax-free shopping outlets ! full of natural wonders and activities- fishing, hiking (easy to expert trails), scenic vistas, and photographic opportunities abound. Kids will love mini-golf, easy canoe trips on the Saco, or the popular Storyland in Glen, NH. There's sightseeing, swimming, and picnics along the Swift River while traveling the beautiful Kancamagus Highway, one of the most popular day trips in the mountain region. Don't forget canoeing, tubing, and kayaking day trips on the Saco River! Ski mountains within approx. 75 minutes or more from the House include Gunstock, Abenaki, King Pine, Cranmore, Black, and Attitash. Just a bit further for Wildcat Mt (our favorite), Loon, and Bretton Woods (wide open easy slopes). Beautiful beaches just 45 mins in southern NH and Maine.
