You’ll be near many of the city’s sites and attractions too. Just a 15-min walk gets you to the big and beautiful Plaza Grande, the biggest plaza in the city, like the town square, where you’ll find plenty to see and do, like the Cathedral, museums, food, restaurants, shops and loads of people watching! And a few blocks more is Santa Lucia Park where on Thursday nights they have a traditional Mexican dance ceremony. You’ll be in a fabulous location to have authentic Mérida at your fingertips.

- There’s a well-equipped KITCHEN with all you’d need to prepare simple meals at home, which is a great money saver! You’ll have a STOVE, MICROWAVE, TOASTER, BLENDER, COFFEE MAKER, and all the cookware and utensils to eat at home in peace.
- Head through the bright pink doors to get to the BEDROOM and FULL BATHROOM with a large stand-in shower. The home can accommodate 4 comfortably as such:

The Neighborhood:
In a great location downtown with sites and attractions easily accessible on foot, bike or via Uber from the center of Merida. The main square, “Plaza Grande” is about a 15-min walk away and has tons to see and do, food to eat, shops to shop, museums, the cathedral, and more. A few blocks more is Santa Lucia or Hidalgo Parks for traditional events, historic sites, and more people-watching. Pasaje de La Revolucion with art and multimedia displays. Or stroll Pase de Montejo – a wide avenue modeled after Paris' Champs Elysees that is lined with the mansions of Mérida's old aristocracy. If you’re looking for a nice thing to do on a sunny day, this is where you’ll wanna come. There are many cafes, cantinas, restaurants, landmark buildings, parks and monuments, and a few street vendors with handmade artisan crafts and delicious food offerings like pan de elote (cornbread) or marquesitas (like a rolled-up pizzelle filled with your desire of caramel, chocolate/Nutella, sweet cream, cheese and more.

Getting Around:
The home is in a great location in historic downtown, and you can walk to everything or taxi and Uber around. For day trips, the ADO public bus system is a very economical means of transport. And there is the Casa Flamingo bike that you can also use for free to get around town!
The nearest Mérida International Airport (MID) is the closest airport, 9.1 km/5.7 mi or about a 25-min drive from the house. If you happen to be flying into Cancun International Airport (CUN), it’s about a 3-hour drive to Mérida. There are shared-ride and private vans, UBER, taxis, and rental car options. Let us know if you need any assistance.
Other Things to Note:
Please note there is no TV in the home. There is WiFi, however, to connect to your mobile devices.
The Casa Flamingo townhome used to be part of a much larger home that has since been divided into several properties, hence why we call it a townhome.
Long-term stays are welcomed.
There is no full-size fridge, only a mini fridge.
Wi-Fi, bed linens & bath towels are provided free for guests. We also provide some home & bath essentials to get you started like some toilet paper, soap, body wash & shampoo. Just note that these items are not replenished. If you run out, you’ll need to purchase more.
We can help you with additional services (through our local team), like booking restaurant reservations, private chef/catering, pre-stocking groceries and home goods, private transportation, airport service, and car rentals. Please let us know in advance if you’d like any of these services.
There is no daily housekeeping service, but should you require cleaning during your stay, one can be arranged at an additional charge.
Pets are allowed with prior authorization at booking, and a pet fee may apply. Pets cannot sleep on beds or go on any furniture. Damages made by the pet will be charged to the guest.
Guests will be requested to sign a Rental Agreement upon booking confirmation.
A security deposit may be required prior to arrival or at check-in subject to the booking platform used to make the reservation. This fee is charged as a credit card transaction and refunded after check-out, provided all terms are met.
There are surveillance cameras at the property for security reasons and to ensure guest safety. All cameras face outdoor areas only.

- No parties or events are permitted, illegal activity is prohibited, and excessive noise won't be tolerated. No loud music is allowed after 10 pm. Please be respectful of the neighbors.
- No more guests than those listed in your reservation are allowed.
- No tent or other structures may be set up on the ground of the property.
- Renters agree to cover any charge related to damages that occurred during their stay or cover necessary extra-cleaning charges if such is needed after their stay.
- Renters may be required to provide a government ID on the day of checking in or during their stay.
- Please avoid moving furniture.
