Historic farm-style house with a rambling feel in the heart of Harbor Springs. Perfect location for family gatherings - offering three bedrooms, two bathrooms. The kitchen is well stocked with everything needed to prepare a wonderful meal. Enjoy your morning coffee on the covered porch and bring your family pet, as there is a fenced-in backyard.

Keyless entry is located on the door going into the garage. We ask that you use this door for entering and exiting the home whenever possible
Numerous local activities are within walking distance, including the downtown area and the beach. Two minute walk to the IGA grocery. Ten minute walk to waterfront and restaurants. Hiking, biking, beaches, the Tunnel of Trees, and resorts (ski/golf) are all within a short drive.
The primary bedroom on the second floor features wood-paneled interior and attached full bath; and a comfortable king bed with a foam mattress and memory-foam topper. The first floor has two smaller bedrooms and a full size bath one with a double bed and the second with a twin-trundle (which can become a king). The living room has a queen sleeper sofa.
We have a fully fenced back yard adjoining a wooded area; it has a gas firepit and a seating area. Out front there is a large porch with multiple seating areas, including a table and chairs as well as a sectional. We have a large Blackstone propane griddle which is available for your use in the driveway.
Children are welcome and we have provided a variety of books, games, and puzzles to make the young and the young at heart feel right at home!
We allow one dog, preferably under 40 lbs and ask that you follow a few simple rules:
·Dog must be kenneled if left in the house alone. Please bring your own kennel.
·No dogs on the furniture or bedding.
·Dog waste cleanup is the responsibility of the owner
·Dogs must be pre-approved. Please note them in your reservation request.
Since summer can be warm and humid, and the house does not have central AC, there are modern window AC units in the common area as well as two of three bedrooms. In general, the home stays extremely comfortable with open windows and ceiling fans to allow in the Lake Michigan breezes.
Wifi and Roku smart TV are included in the living room.
We gladly welcome guests to our in-town family cottage when we are not using it. It is a special place both us and our canine family members. We are very happy to be able to share it.
We are licensed as a short term rental by the City of Harbor Springs, with a max of 6 guests total allowed at this property.
Guest access and other notes
·You'll have the entire house to yourself, including the porch and yard.
·We have a large garage (it was once an auto shop) and you are welcome to use the north bay (closest to the house) to store any bikes or outdoor power-sports equipment you bring with you.
·The stairs to the second floor are somewhat steep (common for 100+ year old houses) so you should plan sleeping arrangements accordingly.
