My mamacita and I live in a lovely, SAFE and quiet neighborhood in beautiful Merida, Mexico. I am a retired language teacher (Spanish, my first language and French), and a fan of Mexican Cultures and Cuisines! . If you are coming to immerse yourself in Spanish language and Maya culture, we will only speak in Spanish.
In our Colonia (neighbourgood), public transportation is close by as are many cafes, restaurants, banks, pharmacies, laundry and other services. Uber and Didi ride services are dependable and inexpensive.
Casa Gaby is a single family home which is freshly painted throughout. Our Homestay rooms have their own remodeled bathrooms and new beds.
Your cozy room includes a Dbl Bed, large closet, desk and your own private bath with shower. There is also a twin bedded room with en-suite bathroom on the second floor. Both rooms have ceiling fans and Air conditioning.
Our daily dining room looks out on to a cool and shady Patio which you are welcome to share with us. A light breakfast will be provided each morning; please indicate whether there are any allergies so we can accommodate you.
This room is on the second floor of the house and it has its own recently remodeled bathroom. The twin beds are brand new so it can accommodate one or two guests or two children if the parents stay downstairs.
