Nestled on four secluded wooded acres in the middle of Tennessee's rolling hills, this two bedroom cabin will afford you a relaxing and peaceful retreat. It is located nine miles from Waynesboro and just around the corner from the property of the Tennessee Fitness Spa at the Natural Bridge. This historic site is the only known double span natural bridge formation in the world, formed over millions of years by a fresh water spring. Another popular creation of nature on the grounds is the 'Ice Cave' with a temperature of 58 degrees year-round. These sites are open to the public on Sundays only. Whether you would like to participate in the program at the Tennessee Fitness Spa with a reduced, off-campus rate or simply want a vacation with privacy, peace and quiet, this cute and cozy home will meet your lodging needs. It has two bedrooms, the master with a king sized bed and the second with a queen. There is a comfortable sofa bed to provide additional sleeping in the spacious great room with vaulted ceilings. There are two baths, one with a walk-in shower and the other with a beautiful claw footed tub. The cabin is completely furnished with everything you need from modern appliances and kitchen needs to linens and towels, along with a washer and dryer in the basement. Wifi and a phone for local calls are available. Since this is a remote area, cell phone coverage can sometimes be a challenge but texting generally works well. Enjoy walking and hiking, browsing the shops in the quaint city of Waynesboro which is only a 15 to 20 minute drive. Other attractions between 30 to 75 minutes away are Davy Crockett State Park, the Natchez Trace, Amish Country, antique shopping and dining in historical downtown Lawrenceburg, Helen Keller's childhood plantation home and a Frank Lloyd Wright's house in Florence, AL, Shiloh Battlefield and much more. Nashville and Lynchburg's Jack Daniel's Distillery are 100 miles away and worth the drive. But what you may like most is to turn off your cell phone and enjoy your stay in private seclusion inside this cozy and comfortable cabin. You only hear birds and crickets and can see no neighbors or hear traffic from your private haven.
Road Conditions: All main roads are paved. The entrance off of Hwy 99 and the remaining roads which lead to my cabin and the Tennessee Fitness Spa are dirt and gravel but well maintained.
