Whispering Tides offers some of the most stunning views and waterfront in Owls Head. Overlooking Rockland Harbor, a true working waterfront complete with hardy lobster boats and graceful schooners, the house also offers 180-degree views of the Breakwater Lighthouse and glorious Penobscot Bay, dotted with islands. Visit the villages of Port Clyde and Tenants Harbor and the larger towns of Camden and Rockport. Crescent Beach, one of the area’s most beloved beaches, and Birch Point State Park are easily accessible as well. Take a few day trips to must-see destinations like Boothbay Harbor and Bar Harbor.
Return to a modern, open-concept home situated on three private acres with 475 feet of waterfront. The front of the house has a deck that stretches from the primary suite to the living room. Comfy sitting areas abound and the views are unrivaled. Speaking of amazing views, the bedrooms on the first floor have them in spades as well. The house boasts vaulted ceilings and dozens of windows that bring in natural sunlight, let the fresh ocean air in, and offer vistas that are ever-changing with the tides. A magnificent center chimney separates the dining area and kitchen from the living room.
The kitchen is beautiful and a perfect spot for group meal prep with gourmet appliances that include a double wall oven and an in-island gas cooktop. The large center island provides a great place to sit and chat with the chef. There is also lots of granite counter space and direct access to the deck. The dining area is just off the kitchen with seating for guests to enjoy hearty meals. The living room also has direct access to the deck and has comfortable seating centered around a large TV.
We know that working vacations have to happen sometimes, so there is an alcove off the living room that is perfectly suited for a workspace. It also can double as a great spot for board games, jigsaw puzzle assembly, and card games! A sweet sunroom is also here with comfortable chairs, a great place to read or catch a late afternoon nap.
