Summary:
Greetings from your campkeeper, Becky! Tentrr is my newest way of sharing a place I love with others who would like to enjoy its magic. This beautiful campsite is only 1.5 hours NW of Portland, Maine. This site sits between a river, a small, historic cemetary grove and the oldest historical homesite in the town limits on a quiet road that provides convenient access to both tent site and the quaint village and recreational resources of Bethel, Maine. Once farmland and now naturally renewing forest, it combines the best of open space, cozy, wooded paths and various water views (intermittent natural pool visible from tent and high, river bank is close walking distance on property *)! Build a fairy house and/or search for ones left by others! *Steep, high bank means water not currently easily entered from site but good canoe/kayak/tube rentals/put in sites within close driving distance - eventual riverbank staircase planned - stay tuned!)

Guest Access:
This is an exclusive Tentrr Signature campsite. Tentrr partners with land owners to offer unique accommodations in beautiful outdoor spaces. Our campsites are off-the-grid which means they generally do not have access to electricity, wifi, or modern plumbing. Instead, they offer the chance to relax, unplug, and fully experience nature!
Your Tentrr campsite includes a 10'x12' (120 square feet) safari-style canvas tent on a raised wooden platform. Inside the tent you'll find one queen bed with a memory foam mattress. The tent is big enough for the bed plus one or two extra sleeping bags on the floor. Aside from the canvas tent, campers can also use the extra 5-person pop-up dome tent that’s provided. You'll also have a 6-ft picnic table, outdoor fire pit, 2 Tentrr Adirondack chairs, and a heating source to keep you warm and toasty at night.
Max Occupancy: This refers to the total number of campers allowed onsite with your reservation.
Toilets: Every campsite is equipped with a camp toilet (we call it the Tentrr Loo). This is a simple wooden box with a toilet seat and a bucket inside. To use, line the bucket with a CleanWaste Sani-Bag supplied at the camp prior to use. Afterwards, simply tie the bag up and place it in a trash bag. CleanWaste Sani-Bags use a NASA-developed gelling/deodorizing agent that helps prevent spills and keeps everyone safe and clean.
Showers: Every Signature campsite comes with a Coleman Sun Shower. The sun shower has a reservoir that holds up to 5 gallons of water, potentially enough for multiple showers. It's constructed of heat-locking material that warms the water when it's left in the sun, even on cool days.

Other Things to Note:
*We are currently operating with a 'reduced flame' policy meaning, out of respect for fire concerns of neighbors: only gas campstoves or self starting charcoal, if using (i.e. no liquid lighter fluid), and/or single, wrapped logs in the firepit used one at a time. Some provided on site, depending on trending state and local wildfire hazard advisories. (also available at town hardware and other stores or byo)
** Pets not allowed to wander freely away from immediate tent site or paths or disturb wildlife (including birds nesting in meadow).
***No hunting on property.
**** There have been bear sighted in the area, (that seem to be primarily attracted by a neighbor's bird feeder) so I am asking that all food and food related trash be stored either in secured containers away from the tentsite or in your car in the parking area, overnight or when you are not in camp.
Property boundaries are along road and river, and on one side, the historic cemetery and, by extension, the path marked by birdhouses, and on the other end of the meadow/new growth evergreen, by the line initially demarcated by path between new growth and older, taller, mixed deciduous woods continuing straight across meadow to road. Please be careful of occasional poison ivy especially along edges of mowed paths along river and cemetery. My gravel driveway/parking area is marked by rope between two pine trees between 1466 and 1472 Intervale Road which you can unclip to enter and park inside. (Please re-clip whenever leaving camp.) The site is a short walk from the parking area- turn right onto a mowed path and you will come to it. Please do not drive beyond the gravel parking area. Mowed paths are for walking and maintenance vehicles only. There are some resources available on site (like tarps you can load and drag etc.) if you find that helpful to minimize trips.

Interaction with Guests:
Upon check out, you should leave-no-trace of your stay and be sure your campsite is returned to its natural glory! While Tentrr does not charge a cleaning fee, we do expect campsites to be left how they were found. After you check out, take everything you brought in and be sure to leave your trash at the designated location.
If a Tentrr Host submits an incident report after your stay that details evidence of trash or damage to the campsite or the host's property, Tentrr reserves the right to charge a minimum cleaning fee of $50. Just make sure to follow the Camper Manual posted at your campsite and you'll be set!
Reservation Modifications/Cancellations: Please note the terms of the cancelation policy as they are outlined in your confirmation email. Your Tentrr Host is unable to change or cancel your reservation on your behalf, and they are unable to waive any cancellation fees (if applicable).
