This charming, rustic but fully equipped, cottage is just sixty feet from the waters edge and has easy steps leading down to the beach.
A unique blend of a small New England town with a common and seafaring village, Castine is exceptionally picturesque. Many of its homes date back to the American Revolution and the streets remain lined with majestic, hundred year old Elm trees.
Not many towns can boast more in the way of recreation, cultural activities and community services, yet remain so unspoiled by commercial tourism. There are no traffic lights and no fast food chains but amenities include sailing, kayaking, golf, tennis, rowing, the Maine Maritime Academy fitness facilities, churches, a library, restaurants, museums, two small grocery stores, and a doctors office--all just a short stroll from Moonrise Anchorage.

The living-dining area has large sliding doors facing the water, which lead out to a large deck that has a a panoramic view the harbor with a charcoal grill, plenty of outdoor seating and an umbrella to provide shade. There are steps in front to take you down to the beach.
