Summary: A lovely base camp for our eastern / central UP adventures. The smoke from Canada made for some lovely sunsets. We saw crows, hawks, and eagle, and watched a family of otters swim by. We used the back deck to watch the freighters. Easy access to Brimley state park and Iroquois lighthouse for swimming. The beds were comfy and we had everything we needed for meals and family time. We arrived during a heat wave and used the portable AC very effectively but the latter half of the week, it was open windows and enjoying the lake breeze.
