La Sardina is a rustic hostel, but with surprising touches of luxury and art around most corners. From the bohemian emerging art garden to the paintings and murals decorating the spaces, from the moment you enter, you know there’s something just a little magical about this place. While owner/resident Cristian Racansky, an accomplished globe-hostel-trotter himself, will be the first to say that the real magic happens with the creativity and connections made between the guests, there’s no doubt that he has created a unique and wonderful sanctuary for artists, creatives, makers, and adventurous, open-minded Bohemians.
There are a few options for residency at La Sardina, in a range of prices to accommodate all! From the tent space tucked under a young palm tree starting at $250pesos/night to the luxury palapa with its limited seasonal availability to the semi-private four-bed dorm, to “The Thing,†an adventure for experienced travelers, with four bunks with two beds each, to the artist-in-resident’s cabanita, each bed comes with its own electrical outlet, lockable under-bed storage, a shower and bathroom space, and access to the Skylink high-apeed internet.
